Please be advised that following consultation with our local Health Board, and with their permission,
OUR PRACTICE LIST IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO NEW PATIENTS, on a temporary basis, taking effect from 13th September, 2018. This is due to workforce issues. Existing New Patient Appointments will still be seen, and the Practice will continue to register new-born babies of existing members of the practice.

Kensington Group Practice policy is NOT to prescribe the following drugs unless we have evidence from your previous GP or care provider. This is in the interests of safe, and appropriate prescribing. It would normally not be appropriate to provide a prescription where there is ongoing treatment being prescribed elsewhere.
Pregabalin or Gabapentin
Benzodiazepines :- Diazepam, Lorazepam, Nitrazepam, chlordiazepoxide, and similar medication
Morphine Derivatives :- Dihydrocodeine, Fentanyl tablets or patches, Buprenorphine tablets or patches, codeine, morphine, tramadol and other similar medication
Sleeping tablets :- Temazepam, Zopiclone (Zimovane), Zolpidem (Stilnoct), Zaleplon (Sonata), and other similar medication.
These drugs can be dangerous in some circumstances, and it may not always appropriate to remain on these long term. Your current medical conditions will of course be taken into account, but where there is no clear reason for treatment, or symptoms have improved or resolved, in some instances, it may be appropriate to commit to a reduction strategy.
It is our policy that Kensington Group Practice do not replace lost or stolen prescriptions or medications. It is your responsibility to keep your prescriptions, and medication, safe.
The practice will not tolerate deception or coercive behaviour in a bid to obtain medications; this may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
