Nurses

The nurse will see patients for investigations, cervical smears, immunisations, wounds and dressings, smoking cessation, weight reduction, health promotion/lifestyle advice etc.
The nurse may be approached directly without seeing your doctor but a referral is required in most cases.

Healthcare Assistants
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, basic vaccinations and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. |

Pharmacists
Mr Alan Erwin (m)
In addition to his Practice Management role, Alan also provides prescribing advice to the GP Partners, to encourage safe, cost-effective prescribing. He also helps welcome patients to the surgery through New Patient Appointments. He has completed a Pharmacist Independant Prescribing qualification, and is currently assisting the practice nurse and doctors with Asthma Clinics. |
Miss Rosann Craig (f)
Rosann also works hard to promote safe and cost-effective prescribing within the surgery, and undertakes reviews and audits to support the Doctors. She is currently studying towards a Pharmacist Independant Prescribing qualification, which will enable her to take on further clinical roles in the future, as well as welcoming new patients to the practice through New Patient Appointments. |
