Seasonal vaccinations

Appointments are now available to book for the seasonal flu, and covid booster vaccines, for those who are eligible.

We will begin appointments for these on Saturday 11th October 2025; this is very slightly later from last year, as we are migrating to a new computer system in late September, and we wish to ensure clinics go smoothly.

Appointments at Donegall Road (for flu and covid) are available to book NOW, and appointments in Finaghy (for flu only) will be available to book soon.

We are sending our invitations earlier this year, as we wish to get as many of our patients booked in before our computer migration, at the end of September, as we will not have access to our computer system for a few days.

Who is eligible for the Flu vaccine this autumn?

Those eligible for influenza vaccine in 2025/2026 are:
• all those aged 65 years and over on 31 March 2026
• all those aged 18 years to under 65 years in certain clinical risk groups
• those in long-stay residential care/nursing homes
• pregnant women
• all preschool children aged two to four years on 1 September 2025
• all school-aged children (up to and including year 12 - please note these will be offered at school in the first instance, but we can give if your child misses this offer for any reason)
• all children in clinical risk groups aged from 6 months to less than 18 years
• carers
• close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
• high risk poultry and avian animal health workers
• all health and social care workers

Who is eligible for Covid vaccine this autumn?

This year’s autumn booster is more narrowly targeted at the very highest-risk groups—specifically older adults (75+), care home residents, and the immunosuppressed—whereas last year’s programme extended to a wider swath of the clinically vulnerable (65–74, clinical risk groups) and some health and social care staff.

Please book online if you can, to ease pressure on our phones; or call 02890 325679.

Please do not book if you are not eligible, as we won't be able to give you a vaccine if you attend.
