Kensington Medical Centre is delighted to offer Patient Access, part of our new EMIS clinical system. Patient Access is a secure online portal that lets you manage many aspects of your healthcare at a time and place that suits you. By registering, you help us reduce pressure on our telephone lines and free up our team to assist patients who need urgent care.

Why use Patient Access?

  • Book routine GP appointments online, 24 hours a day – no need to call or queue.
  • Request repeat prescriptions quickly – see your list of authorised medications and tick the items you need.
  • Manage your personal details – update your address, telephone number and email securely.
  • Secure and confidential – Patient Access uses encrypted technology similar to online banking and is approved for NHS use.

How to register

Vision online accounts will not carry over to EMIS, so you will need to register for Patient Access even if you used our previous online services. Registration is free and open to patients aged 16 and over.

  • Receive your registration details: After 1 October 2025 we will email you a ‘Linkage Key’, ‘Account ID’ and our organisation ID. These details link your Patient Access account with your Kensington Medical Centre records.
  • Don’t have email? Pop into reception and ask for a Patient Access letter. Please bring photographic ID (passport, driving licence) and proof of address.
  • Create your account: Visit the Go to Patient Access button above. Click “Register”, enter your email address and choose a secure password, then follow the steps to link your account using the codes we provided.
  • Activate and sign in: Once registered, you can log in at any time to book appointments, request prescriptions and manage your details.

What can I book?

Through Patient Access you can book routine GP consultations. Please note that nurse clinics, blood tests and urgent same‑day appointments are not currently available to book online – contact reception in these cases.

Ordering repeat prescriptions

  • Select the medications you require from your list of approved repeats.
  • Requests submitted via Patient Access are usually ready within two full working days. Remember to allow extra time for weekends and bank holidays.
  • Nominate your preferred pharmacy to collect your prescription or arrange for home delivery if eligible.
