Self-Care & Your Home Medicine Cabinet

Minor conditions often improve on their own. It's a good idea to keep a selection of over-the-counter items at home, such as:

  • Paracetamol or ibuprofen for pain/fever
  • Rehydration salts for stomach upsets
  • Antihistamines for allergies
  • Indigestion remedies

Your community pharmacist can advise what to include and how to use these medicines safely.

Unsure if Pharmacy First is right for you?

If you're unsure, please speak to your local pharmacy, who will be able to advise if it is within their scope to treat, under these schemes.  Or you can contact Kensington Medical Centre. Our reception team will be happy to advise you on the most appropriate service for your needs.
